Trzeci etap tegorocznego Cape Epic przyniósł pierwsze przesunięcie szali w kierunku odebrania koszulek lidera zawodnikom Cannondale Factory Racing. Nie doszło do tego, ale na etapie udało się wypracować ponad minutę przewagi, trochę dzięki wspólnemu aliansowi Scott SRAM i Specialized, którzy na metę wjechali jako pierwsi. Warto zerknąć na zdjęcie z finiszu, gdzie Nino i Jaro oglądają się na swoich partnerów, którzy w sprincie walczyli o etapowe zwycięstwo, ostatecznie zdobyte przez Specialistów.
